Sara Troy started the “The Art of Positive Living” in 2001 and has been teaching personality self-identity and soul development for over 21 years using tools from 49 years of accumulated knowledge. Sara is also a spiritual counselor by God’s design, who can see the possibilities of your purpose in life and can draw you a map in getting to where you are meant to go, but you have to walk it.  She has an unbridled passion for helping people to live in the full embracement of self in their knowingness, with a mercurial mind and a desire to know what makes us choose in life and how resilient and courageous we are. What is our purpose, whom do we serve, and how do we serve others while not losing our selves.

April 2012 Sara made a personal discovery of self, one that would change her life direction forever. She was presented with an opportunity to host her own talk show on a small blog talk radio station called “Authentic You media” where she hosted her show live for 13 months before going out on her own with her own station “PLV Radio” now called Self-Discovery Wisdom. Now in her 10th + year of hosting her own network as of June 23 and 11 years of hosting in April 23, this woman has finally found her groove in life, and in just over 11+ years she has interviewed more than 3300+ incredible inspirational guests from around the globe on her many show genres.

Wanting to reach out to even more listeners, and to bring greater numbers of inspirational people together and share their stories of life skills and inspiring stories of courage and strength she decided to branch out and invite others to become our Orchard Mentors who are sharing their services with those in need of them. This project was an afterthought before embarking on a world record attempt to establish legitimacy in the outcome. And proceeded to be a world record in its own right with the Golden Book of World Records – Longest quotidian feat of composing, producing and publishing children’s song incessantly.

SHOW TWO. ‘She Played In The Dark’ is the story of a protagonist that found her own definition of and path to fulfilment and success if one may call it that. All this with the responsibility of caring for two college-going children, one of which got married and had two babies in the course of the challenge; aged parents who were always at the back of her mind, the hustle with a rather busy day job that paid the bills, health matters, any travel whether it was on the road to work, by air reaching family and friends or in a lift headed for home (and the challenge).

SHOW ONE. To share my story of realizing my calling after having reached what I imagined was a dead end. There are people out there that are probably at that dead end and cannot see the light of day. If mine could help them see and navigate, I’d have achieved far more than I did through my 1000-day challenge that set four world records in singing-songwriting and everything until then.

A mentor in singing and songwriting, Swapna championed the first branded karaoke cafe ‘Kafeoke’ in India with a school for singing and songwriting and a recording studio. She is also known for her acting performances as Donna in the Mamma Mia musical directed by the late Mithran Devanesan, and Meenakshi in the Tamil feature film Nadunissi Naaygal directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. An alumnus of the T A Pai Management Institute and Indian Institute of Management Kolkata, she is the India Country Chair for Media Arts & Communication of G100, a global organization for the equitable elevation of women. Leaving no flair unpursued, Swapna is also an interior designer and member of the Designers Society of America (www.alikainteriors.com).

Her most recent musical work is the 12-song album titled LOVED. One of the songs NO LOVE LOST (feat Devan Ekambaram) received the following awards through 2023:

This will be the biggest album of original songs made for children in the age group of 4-12.

That was Volume 1 – A Children’s Song A Day. Well, I think I failed. On the price point – Rs. 3499/ USD 89.99. It was a much bigger book, with 200 songs (you may recall my post from eons ago as to how many volumes was ideal…). Still, Volume 1 is what I’ll be handing down to each of my three grandchildren. Some family buffets, suits and sarees would easily cost more. Why would we give the children any less… That’s just my two cents. I was advised then to make the books black & white so as to make them cheap, there was no way I’d take away from the burst of colour in those illustrations. Sorry, these are not colouring books!

My degree is in elementary education, and my passion has always been to provide the best care and education for children. Walking alongside parents through some difficult journeys with typically developing and neurodiverse children has been the honor of a lifetime. In my 23+ year career as a corporate child care director for a large hospital, I saw a number of children who were on the spectrum. Many parents brought their children to the center after nights of little sleep. They were worried about their children’s nutrition because of poor diets and they were frustrated and overwhelmed by the meltdowns and anxiety their children were experiencing. I have felt so much empathy for them and thought there must be strategies to make things better and so I began to search for answers. Later a grandson was born and he is on the spectrum. Victoria Cuore, of A Contagious Smile has been supporting families with both special needs as well as survivors of domestic violence for well over 16 years now. As a special needs parent, a survivor of domestic violence, and being special needs myself, I understand first-hand just how challenging it was and still is to be able to find the assistance that you need. This is a place where there is no judgment, no bullying and you get to be YOU! We offer support groups, social groups, classes, legal preparation, and much more. Finally, a place where you can be amongst lifelong friends, who understand exactly who and where you are because each and every one of us has been there or is still there. We believe in having fun, learning with laughter, and supporting one another’s dreams.

Alexandria, a gem among Our Forgotten Children’s book authors, has dedicated years to youth work. Her unique approach focuses on saving them from troubles before they even begin.

Alexandria Johnson is from the beautiful islands of The Bahamas. Her experiences throughout her life have sparked a fire to help others. She enjoys helping people live optimally from the inside out. She has an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, a Master of Science in Child Forensic Studies: Psychology and Law and is completing a Ph.D. in Christian Education. She completed specialized training in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Coordination, Substance Use Treatment for Adolescents and Adults and Non-Profit Management. She completed certifications as a Cognitive Behavioral Life Coach, a Christian Life Coach, and in Youth Leadership. For the past eleven years, she has used her training to help people across the lifespan who are presented with mental health challenges.

Kristina Coderre Is A Proud Mom Of 2 Boys (And Step-Mom To 2 More!) I started this journey with a passion for teaching other parents, teachers, and caregivers the behavior approach that saved my son. But over the years, things started to shift inside of me and I started to realize that I was not ok; and I realized that the parents that I was serving were not ok either. We were all expected to hold it all together, guide our families through tough situations, and bottle up our own feelings in order to make it through. We searched for and implemented solutions like a freaking hero but inside we were feeling like a total failure. Now I help dedicated parents take care of themselves by providing solutions we can do WHILE we are parenting and maintaining all of our other responsibilities. We became parents to increase the joy in our lives but so often the overwhelm of parenting leaves no room for joy. I help parents bring joy and fulfillment back into their lives so we can enjoy life NOW and model for our kids what living a happy life looks like.

Parents Lifeline of Eastern Ontario (PLEO) is Kristina’s choice of organization.

The Parents Lifeline of Eastern Ontario is a non-profit family peer support organization with a mission to foster positive outcomes for families with children to age 25 facing mental health challenges by providing family peer support and by amplifying the family voice for system change.

The organization is made up of parents who understand the challenges of supporting kids with mental health issues because they have supported their own children through the tough times. Parents who access PLEO services report feeling better able to cope, to access the services they need, to support their child, and that they feel less alone, isolated, anxious and stressed. 

PLEO is a champion for system change to create a more effective, family focused approach to mental health care. Through collaboration with service providers and key stakeholders, they amplify the family voice to ensure that the real needs of the thousands of families they support are part of every decision and every plan that affects our kids and families.
